Kathleen Ann (McCarthy) Reid

Kathleen Ann Reid (McCarthy) passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family on February 20, 2022 at the age of 78. She was born in Brighton Heights on October 19, 1943 and graduated from Oliver High School in 1961. However, Ross Township was where she called home for nearly 50 years.

Kathy is survived by her husband of 56 years, Robert Reid; children Melissa Reid of Morgantown, WV; Aimee Metz (Reid) and her husband Chad of Pittsburgh, PA; Robert Reid of Pittsburgh PA. Her greatest joy was loving her grandsons, Brady and Mason Metz.

She is preceded in death by her parents Edward and Louise McCarthy.

Kathy felt passionately about serving her community and was honored to serve on the North Hills School Board from 2009 to 2021. She always voted in the best interests of the students. She was steadfast in her beliefs and never wavered. Kathy considered this service to be one of her greatest accomplishments.
