Of Marshall Twp., on Tuesday, January 5, 2016. Wife of the late Edward J. Holzer, Jr.; loving mother of Edward J. Holzer III (Diane), Richard F. “Deek” Holzer (Debra), Cheryl A. Schmidt (Andrew) and Lorraine E. Marks (Dennis); sister of the late James, Frank and Raymond Zassick; proud grandmother of Nicolette, Shannon, Stefanie and Steven Holzer, David Marks, Kristy Wright (Tim), Michael Schmidt and the late Richard F. Holzer, Jr.; great-grandmother of Ashley, Haley and Teegan. Friends received Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME OF CRANBERRY, 2678 Rochester Rd., 724-772-8800. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Ferdinand Church Friday 12 noon. Lucy was proud of her Slovak heritage and was a fabulous cook, baker and will be remembered for her apricot and nut rolls every Easter and Christmas season. For more than 50 years, she loved to play poker with her friends on Friday night and go to the casino. She was an avid golfer and a member of the Women’s Golf Association of Western PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. Ferdinand Church Building Fund.
