Bruce A. Harke, 56, of McCandless, died Friday, Sept. 28, 2007. He started his career as a marine biologist in 1973, continued in the pathology department of West Penn Hospital and in 1998 became a science teacher at Riverview High School. Bruce was an active member of Allison Park Assembly of God for more than 20 years, playing in the worship band and doing missionary work overseas. Loving husband of Susan (Ograbek) Harke. Devoted father of Nick Harke. Dear son of Fritz and Beatrice Harke. Brother of Lorraine Harbaugh, John Phelps and Fred Harke. Son-in-law of Grace and the late Joseph Ograbek. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at T.B. DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, 806 Perry Highway, Ross. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Christ Church at Grove Farm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, MLS Division.
