William R. Mulgrew, 96, of Ross, died Wednesday, March 9, 2011. He was the beloved husband of Leona (Begley) Mulgrew; loving father of Maureen (Don) Brazen and the late David (Susan) Mulgrew; brother of Fern D’Arigo and the late Vincent Mulgrew; brother-in-law of Bob and Carol Haller; dear grandfather of Jeffrey Mulgrew, Jason Brazen, Heather Mulgrew and Michelle Brazen; great-grandfather of Jocelyn Miller and Rebecca Brazen; also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends. Bill was a World War II Army veteran, serving under General George Patton, earning a Purple Heart and five Bronze Stars, and was a life member of West View VFW Post 2754. Bill was retired from Western Electric for more than 40 years. He was president of the Local CWA. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the T.B. DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, 806 Perry Highway, North Hills. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday in St. Cyril of Alexandria Church. Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the American Heart Association.
