William S. Finke Jr., 68, of Cranberry Township, died Monday, Nov. 21, 2011. He was the beloved husband of Sharon M. (Taylor); loving father of Stacey Finke (Wylie Woods) and Christopher Kiley; brother of James Harold Finke, PhD (Jeane); son of the late William Sr. (survived by Sue T. Finke) and the late Lillian Finke. He is also survived by many loving friends, relatives, colleagues, and Hoss, his special English Setter. Bill was one of the pioneers in the field of physician assistants. He was also past president of the Independent Mountain Man. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday with the visitation being concluded with military honors at DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME of CRANBERRY, 2678 Rochester Road, 724-772-8800. In lieu of flowers contributions, may be made to the Butler County Humane Society or the American Cancer Society.

I was a patient of Bill’s at Dr. Ryan’s office. He always treated me like seeing an old friend. His presence will be greatly missed at the office by his patients and by the employees. Bill was a wonderful man. My condolesences to his family.
I worked with Bill at West Penn. He was a great guy to work with. My sympathies to his family. I am sure he will be greatly missed.
