Virginia S. (Steinkirchner) Floyd, 87, of Cranberry Township, formerly of Wexford, died Sunday, June 6, 2010. She was the wife of the late Samuel B. Floyd Jr.; beloved mother of Cynthia Floyd, Claudia Floyd (Peter Olson), Bruce (Donna) Floyd, Ellen Floyd, Virginia (Fred) Sunday and Constance (William) O’Connor; dear grandmother of Brendan Crimmins, Jared (Heather) Sunday, Jessica (Zachary) Watt, Ian (Tiffany) Floyd, Erik Floyd, Russell Floyd, Michael O’Connor, Kevin O’Connor, Paul O’Connor and Reilly O’Connor; and great-grandmother of Andrew Sunday. Her family will always cherish fond memories of their extraordinary “Granny.” Virginia was a longtime teacher in the North Allegheny School District. Visitation from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME OF CRANBERRY, 2678 Rochester Road, 724-772-8800. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Ferdinand Church.
