It is a sad day. Victor was someone who never complained, and always, always got the job done, a true team player. His efforts of handling the data analysis were critical to the science being done and should not be overlooked. As Jullie said, he always focused on doing the right thing, regardless of whether or not it was advantageous for him personally to do so. This is a rare trait these days, something I truly respected and immensely appreciated. He was a credit to the program and I will miss him both personally and professionally.

It is so sad to lose our colleague and friend. Victor is an excellent MR scientist and did many contributions in MR research. He helped a lot for UPMC MRRC operation, particularly during COVID pandemic in last two years while he fought against cancer. Praying for him to be in peace in heaven.
Dear Vera and Anna and Alina

Victor was an exemplary colleague and lab-mate during our 10 lab years together and afterwards as a continuing friend. Our get-togethers have many treasured memories. Victor, we miss you. We hope these thoughts help just a little in our shared grief with you and your family.
I am so happy I had the chance to work with Victor even though it wasn’t for very long. I will miss seeing Victor at the imaging center and am thinking of his family in this difficult time.
We collaborated with Victor for many years and he was a co-investigator in our grants and co-author in our articles. It was a pleasure to work with him and he was very much treasured by everyone in our lab for his hard work and endearing demeanor. He will be missed. Our greatest sympathies to his family.
I got to know Victor through work in the MR Center at Pitt. He was such a kind soul and will be deeply missed! My prayers are with your family during this difficult time!

Victor was a quiet person. We did not get to talk a lot, but I sure will miss have a drink of vodka with him once a while.
