Age 78, of Ross Township, on Friday, May 5, 2017. Beloved mother of Cynthia (Borden) Mercer, Russell Borden and his wife Sandy, and Gretchen (Borden) Halberstadt (the late Ted); cherished grandmother of Jennifer (Cottone) Kinross (Kevin), Michael Tobin (Brooke), Kelly Tobin, Chase Borden (Kisha), and Kiersten Borden; loving sister of Jeanette Maynor and Sandra Crowe; proud great- grandmother of nine. Also survived by many loving friends and relatives. Friends will be received Monday from 10 a.m. until time of memorial service at 11 a.m. at DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 806 Perry Hwy. Ross Twp. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Simmons Ctr. for Interstitial Lung Disease, Falk Medical Bldg. 4th Floor, 3601 Fifth Ave., Pgh., PA 15213. Vera will be especially missed by her Highland Country Club friends, with whom she shared many memories.
