Thomas McLaughlin

Thomas Albert McLaughlin, 70, of McCandless Twp., died Friday, April 27, 2012, at Good Samaritan Hospice House in Wexford. He was the son of the late Albert Joseph and Bertha Hauser McLaughlin.
Tom graduated from Duquesne High School in 1959, Carnegie Institute of Technology with a BS in Mechanical Engineering in 1963, and the University of Dayton with a Master of Science in Engineering in 1976. He spent the early part of his career working as a tire engineer and quality manager for Goodyear, Armstrong, Mohawk, and Cooper tire companies. He later transitioned into quality management consulting at Philip Crosby Assoc. and other consulting firms. He was a lifetime member of the American Society for Quality Control. Outside of work, Tom enjoyed golf, sailing, flying, photography, and spending time with his five grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, LeeAnn Ehrman McLaughlin; son, Patrick G. McLaughlin of McCandless; son Ryan T. and his wife Angela L. McLaughlin of Salisbury, MD; grandchildren Kara, Callie, Connor, Casey and Camille; brother Richard J. McLaughlin of Allison Park and several cousins.
Services will be held Thursday, May 3rd at Devlin Funeral Home of Cranberry, 2678 Rochester Rd. 724-772-8800, at 1:00pm. Friends received one hour prior to services on May 3rd.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Good Samaritan Hospice House of Wexford, 146 Neely School Rd., Wexford, PA, 15090.

    We always enjoyed Tom’s company when he visited Salisbury. So sorry for the loss to the McLaughlin Family.

    We can comfort ourselves and others knowing Tom is no longer suffering and is in a better place. Gd rest his sole.
