Thomas Atkinson Wilson, 87, of Wexford PA passed away Thursday, May 19, 2022, in Celebration Villa of Allison Park. Tom was born August 2, 1934, in Orville Ohio, a son of the late Edwin Franklin Wilson and Edith Pauline Mowiser Wilson. Tom was a 1951 graduate of Greensburg High School and a 1955 graduate of Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. While studying at Penn State, Tom joined the Kappa Sigma fraternity. Tom joined a Masonic Lodge in 1964 and achieved the ranking of 32°. He was a long-time employee and retired from Alcoa.
In 1969 Tom married Judith Anne Mergenhagen. Together they enjoyed travelling and attending many Penn State football, Pittsburgh Steelers, Penguins and Pirates games. They particularly enjoyed travelling to the post season games that these teams participated in over the years.
Tom is predeceased by his wife, Judy, sister Mary Anne, brother Stanley, nephew Frank Wilson, and his parents Frank and Pauline Wilson. Tom is survived by his sister-in-law Shirley Wilson and his niece Leslie Dooner.
Tom will be missed and fondly remembered by many friends and extended family members.
Friends will be received on Thursday from 2-4 PM at DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, INC. 806 Perry Hwy., Ross Twp. A committal service will be on Friday 12PM at Allegheny County Memorial Park, 1600 Duncan Ave., Allison Park, 15101.
