Theodore, Ted, Dad, Pop Kilyk died peacefully with his family by his side on Wednesday, November 4, 2015. Ted is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Julie (Potoczniak) Kilyk; Ted was the loving father of Ted S. Kilyk (Lisa), Kim Murphy (Chris), and Mick Kilyk (Kim); proud grandfather of Michelle (Blair) Sharpe, Alicia Kilyk (Donny Stawecki), Erika Blatt, Luke Hutchison and Grace Hutchison; great grandfather of Stella and Joe Sharpe; brother of Elaine Micelli; he is also survived by a sister-in-law, brother-in-laws, and many loving nieces and nephews. Ted graduated from North Carolina State University in 1956. He proudly served in the US Air Force as an officer for 3 years and trained as a pilot. Following his US Air Force service, Ted worked at U.S. Steel for 36 years as an Industrial Engineer until his retirement. Friends will be received Saturday, November 7, 2015 from 12:00 PM until time of Funeral Mass at 1:00 PM at St. John Neumann Church, 2230 Rochester Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15237. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Flight 93 National Memorial Campaign c/o National Park Foundation, 1110 Vermont Avenue, NW, Suite 200, Washington, DC 20005.
