Terra Welsh

November 06, 1958 - October 17, 2013


Age 54, of Allison Park, died peacefully on Thursday, October 17, 2013 following a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born on November 6, 1958, daughter of N. Jean (Ritter) Welsh and the late Dr. Frederick H. Welsh. Terra is survived by her siblings, Paula Fleming and her husband, Jack of Cranberry, Douglas Welsh and his wife Sara of Shaler, and Noellene Zabo and her husband, Dan of Marshall Township. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, her beloved dog Tucker, and many dear friends. Terra was a 1976 graduate of North Hills High School and a 1980 graduate of Westminster College where she earned a degree in Elementary Education and was an active member of the Delta Zeta Sorority. She returned to school to earn her R.N. degree from CCAC and later a BSN from LaRoche College. Terra was a member of several professional organizations and worked tirelessly in the area of juvenile and adult diabetic education. Terra was employed by Allegheny Health Network. Visitation Tuesday, October 22, 2013 from 2-4 & 7-9PM at T.B. DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, 806 Perry Hwy., Ross Twp., where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at 11AM. Burial in North Cemetery, Butler. The family requests contributions are made in her memory to Juvenile Diabetes Foundation or Forbes Hospice at West Penn Hospital.
