Ted Sprys, age 76, of McCandless Twp., passed away peacefully on August 9, 2017. Son of Ted and Alice, beloved husband of 53 years of Emily; loving father of Cheryl Sprys (Bob Grannis), Linda McLemore (the late Ben McLemore), Ted Sprys (Vicki) and Eric Sprys (Shelly); cherished grandfather of Brad Dofner (Virginia Mawyer), Ben and Theo McLemore, Zach, Wesley and Isaac Sprys, Eric, Alex and Anna Sprys; and proud great-grandfather of Nicholas Dofner. Ted spent a career educating high school students in math and science in the Pittsburgh Public Schools. His greatest passion was his devotion to nurturing his family.

Family and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, August 14 at 10 a.m. at St. John Neumann Church. Interment will follow at North Side Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Prostate Cancer Foundation. Arrangements have been entrusted to DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, NORTH HILLS.
