Stephen J. Karpinski Jr., 71, of Ross, died Friday, March 6, 2009. Beloved husband of Helen (Howison) Karpinski; loving father of Stephen J. (Melanie) Karpinski III, David R. (Irene) Karpinski and Mark P. (Beth) Karpinski; brother of Bertin J. Karpinski and Carol Groeschel; dear grandfather of Marissa, Bryan, Benjamin, Katelyn and Adam. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at T.B. DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, 806 Perry Highway. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Teresa of Avila Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.

Dr. Karpinski was my advisor while attending Shadyside Hospital School of Anesthesia in the early 80’s. He always had time and a kind heart. My condolences.
