Roland Robert Skeen

Roland Robert Skeen – Age 88, of Butler, Pa. Passed on to God January 19, 2019 at Shelbourne Personal Care. Roland was born in 1930 to Roland and Frances (Hannenburg) Skeen. Middle son of four siblings; Virginia O.S.F., Arthur and Francis. He married his high school sweetheart Dorothy Seitz and raised two children Steven (Christine) and Karen Skrocki (Frederick). Grandfather of Heather Ruden, Jordan Skeen and Lauren Skrocki. As a younger man, Roland was a Silver Beaver Scout, served in the Air Force in the Korean War, and has been a member of the North Hills Masons for 50 years. Reverend Roland was a minister for 30 years in the Evangelical and Reformed UCC and preached at St. Peters on Lemmington Ave in Pittsburgh. He enjoyed outdoors, sports and going out to breakfast. He relished new baseball caps, a good book and donuts. He was a loving husband, father, and doting grandfather as well as a caring friend and neighbor to many.
