Age 87, of McCandless Twp., formerly of Canton GA, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 11, 2022 surrounded by his loved ones. Born May 14, 1934, son of the late Carlton and Grace (Beadle) Wheeler.
Beloved husband of the late Betty Jane (Whetzel) Wheeler; loving father of John (Jinna), Cindy (Sandy Hemming), and Mike (Andrea); dear grandpa of James Michael (Diana) Wheeler, great-grandpa of Evan and Emma Wheeler; and brother of the late Barbara Baumler. Also preceded in death by his step father, Russel Shultz
Bob loved to spend time with his children, grandchild, and great grandchildren. He loved traveling the world with his wife Betty and his children and later with his dear friend Rosemary Curving. He had a passion for antiques and historical items, antique automobiles, war planes, and loved the Pittsburgh Steelers. After graduating from Carnegie Tech and serving in the Army, he spent his career working for PPG Industries and upon retiring from the company started his own consulting firm. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date, and inurnment will take place at The National Cemetery of The Alleghenies.

I just learned of Bob’s passing. I bqualiought his 2001 Jaguar years ago. In the two times of several hours each to buy the Jag, I found him to be one the of most personable men on the planet. He was a super nice “Quality” man. I also called him for about the first 6 month on upgrading things on the car and still own it. His family lost an extraordinary dad and grand dad who I bet was his children’s friend as well. Sorry for his loss. His life was well lived. We can only hope to be a little like Bob Wheeler and touch others as he surely did!!!
