Robert W. Lewis Jr., 57, of New Sewickley Township, peacefully went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2009, surrounded by his loving family and friends following a long and courageous battle with cancer. Robert was a partner with his late father, Robert W. Lewis, in the former law firm of Rowley, Smith, Lewis and Dohanich. He practiced in Ambridge for 32 years before retiring in 2009. He also previously served as Assistant District Attorney of Beaver County and as a solicitor for numerous municipalities including New Sewickley Township and Bell Acres Borough. He was also a member of Covenant Community Church of Wexford. He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, M. Jane (McBroom) Lewis; father of Robert W. (Courtney) Lewis, Sally Jane (Luke) Lester, Andrew Alan Lewis and Michael Bradley Lewis; grandfather of Robert W. Lewis IV; beloved son of Mary Jane Lewis and the late Robert W. Lewis; brother of Debie (Carmen) Adrian, David (Cheryl) Lewis, Cyndie (Bruce) Kuhlber, Beckie (Kurt) Coffed, Walter (Nancy) Lewis and Mary Edith (Michael) Leichliter; son-in-law of Martha Belle McBroom and the late Robert W. McBroom; brother-in-law of Scott McBroom, Bill (Connie) McBroom and Jeff (Diane) McBroom. Friends received from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME OF CRANBERRY, 2678 Rochester Road, 724-772-8800, where a service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.
