Robert V. Funk, 77, of Ross Township, died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011. He was the beloved husband for 55 years of Ruth J. (Gasiorowski) Funk; loving father of Donald (Marjorie) Funk, of Ohio, Susan (Edward) Clay, of Somerset, Cynthia (David) Marchese, of Zelienople, and Melanie (Joseph) Olson, of Hershey; brother of Joseph and Leo Funk, Betty Lou Hassett, Barbara Ann Murphy, Dorothy Kulwicki, Mary Jane Petrocelly, Joan Biesecker and the late Andrew R. Funk and the late Carol Braun; and dear grandfather of Elena and Kimberly Funk, Leah and Luke Clay, Amanda, Matthew, Ashlynn and Jonathan Marchese and Nicholas Olson. Bob was a 53-year member of Carpenter’s Local District Council 211 and a member of the Carpenter’s Retirees Club No. 64, where he was former vice president, secretary and trustee. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. Visitation from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the T.B. DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, 806 Perry Highway, North Hills. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Teresa Avila Church.

our condolence to you Ruth and family on the passing of my brother Bob. Since living so far away we are sorry that we cannot be there for the funeral.
