Robert S. Scherr came into this world on August 13, 1932 to David and Frieda Scherr in Baltimore, MD. A born salesman, he rapidly worked his way to success in the insurance industry, creating many of the systems still implemented to this day. In 1972, he established American Management Advisors in Bucks County, PA, which was a national insurance brokerage house for four decades.

Bob had an infectious laugh that reached the hearts of many people beyond his family and friends. He valued the arts which is evidenced by his venture in the art world as well as displayed in his homes. A spiritual man, he not only sought to enlighten himself, he also readily shared his insights and beliefs.

He was preceded in death by his high school sweetheart June McClanahan who he married at the young age of 18. With June, Bob had 3 children and shared a rich and wonderful 30 years together. A few years later, he met and married Anne Nielsen with whom he spent 26 happy years. Over time, Bob’s family grew to include 6 children and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Generous by nature, his homes were always open to the people he loved.

In his own words: I am a fun loving self-assured man. I am romantic and like hugs and kisses. I am spiritual but not religious. I love to laugh. I kiss better than I cook. I have enjoyed a rich and full life.

Bob will truly and surely be missed.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents David and Frieda Scherr, his wife June, his sister Aileen Weiss (Aaron), and his son Fred Scherr. He is survived by his daughter Sandy (Jaro Sebek), his son Tom Scherr, his step-daughter Kami Walters, his step-son Scott Zecker (Beth), and his step-daughter Kerry Rasenberg (Ken). Also surviving are his many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
