Age 85, of Fox Chapel, on Monday, July 23, 2007. Beloved husband of Virginia Taylor Mayer; loving father of Robert L. Mayer, Jr., and Nancy Cassidy; brother of Joseph Mayer of AZ, Pauline Mahoney of Ross Twp., and Anna Mae Mages of FL; grandfather of Emma Rose Cassidy. Friends received Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9pm at T. B. DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, 806 Perry Hwy., North Hills. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Teresa of Avila Church, Thursday 10am. Robert was a WWII Army Veteran in the European Theater, graduated from Robert Morris College with an accounting degree, was a CPA with Main Lafrenz Accounting Firm and was CFO of Vesuvius Crucible Co.
