Robert Karanzas
Age 85, of Pittsburgh’s North Side, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 12, 2020. Born July 27, 1934, son of the late James and Ella Karanzas. Loving father of Sandy (James) Slater; pap pap of Nicholas and Nathan; brother of Dolores, Rose, Joan, and the late Paul, Donald, and Marjorie. Robert is also survived by his former spouse Sally Karanzas, and 11 nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are welcome Wednesday from 2-4, 6-8 pm at Devlin Funeral Home, 806 Perry Hwy., North Hills. Funeral Services will be held Thursday at 11 am at the funeral home with Rev. Michael Robinson officiating. Interment will follow at Uniondale Cemetery with military honors.

So sorry for the loss of your loving dad, and my uncle “Tuffy”. He will always be remembered as a man’s man. I can still recall working for him at the old Parkview Cafe on Federal St. picking up cases of liquor in his compact Plymouth Horizon. And the ever present newspaper under his arm as he sauntered into the bar ready to talk about the Pittsburgh sports scene or events of the day.
