Service: No public service

ROBERT J. BROWN (“Bob” to all who knew him), age 87, passed away peacefully on June 19, with his devoted wife by his side.

Bob is survived by his beloved wife, Beth; daughters Barb Singer, Beth Brown, and Pam Hilf; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He retired as a vice president from Mellon Bank in Pittsburgh after a distinguished 40-year career, earning the respect of colleagues and clients alike.

In retirement, Bob found joy and purpose in woodworking. His home workshop ran year-round, producing handcrafted pieces that he shared generously with family and friends. His creativity, attention to detail, and generous spirit brought joy to all who received one of his creations.

Bob will be deeply missed by his family, his many friends, and the caring staff at Sherwood Oaks, where he formed lasting connections and shared countless stories, smiles, and projects.

Per his wishes, there will be no public services. Arrangements by Devlin Funeral Home, Cranberry Township, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Sherwood Oaks Memory Care Fund (Oak Grove). The family would like to thank the nursing staff at Sherwood Oaks and AHN Hospice for the compassionate care that they provided to Bob.

Bob was in my life for over 40 years. He and Beth were quite a team. He will be with me always because I am surrounded at home by his tremendous gifts given to me over the years, crafted in his workshop. He came to my rescue when Tom died and enveloped me with love and support, just as Beth did. I am sure Jim Boughner met him in Heaven with his golf clubs. I know my Tom arrived in a backhoe with all of Bob’s woodworking tools in the front bucket of his machine. Rest in peace in your reef. You will forever be in my heart, dearest friend. Love you forever.
