Richard Schwab passed away peacefully on Sunday September 24th Jake passed away surrounded by family at the age of 89. Beloved husband for 67 years of Donna (O’Connell) Schwab. Son of the late Lillian and Jacob Schwab. Father of David (Joan), Dan (Hazel) Grandfather of Jennifer Mignella (Joe), Elizabeth Phillips (Mike), Meghan Schwab and Christine Hines-Mcgee (Stan). Preceded in death by a sister Ruth Dillion and a brother Edward (Jake) Schwab. Also Survived by many nieces and nephews.

Jake served in the United States Navy during World War II and took part in the first underwater test of the Atomic Bomb at Bikini Atoll during Operation Crossroads. He was a Pittsburgh Police Officer for 20 years a lifetime member of the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 1 and a member of the V.F.W Post 2754.

The Family wishes to thank all of the personnel at Manor Care North and the Heartland Hospice for all of the care Jake received. The world will be a lesser place without him, a better place because of him and Heaven just got a whole lot funnier.

Family and friends will be received Wednesday and Thursday from 2-4, 6-8 at DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME INC., 806 Perry Hwy, North Hills. A Blessing service will take place Friday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
