Richard John Klavon, age 78, of Zelienople, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 1, 2014. He graduated from Perry High School in Pittsburgh in 1955, worked as a steamfitter for Local 449 in Pittsburgh for 33 years, and was a member of Christ Bible Church in Cranberry Township. Son of the late John R. and Sophia (Koslowski) Klavon; he is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Durelle (Davis); his children, Scott, Richelle Christy and Brent; he was the brother of Marie Stoehr, Patricia Janosco and the late John, Jr., Richard, Agnes Basl, Emily Becki, Joan Beabout, and Loretta Imhoff; also survived by his grandchildren, Elise, Aaron, Max and Ellie; and many nieces and nephews. Friends and family will be received on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME OF CRANBERRY, 2678 Rochester Road. A celebration of Richard’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at Christ Bible Church in Cranberry Township. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH. Interment will be privately conducted in Allegheny County Memorial Park, Allison Park.
