Raymond Michael Dembowski, 55, of McCandless Twp., PA, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2026. Born on August 29, 1971, in Johnstown, PA, the son of William and the late Rosella Dembowski.

Ray earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science at The University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown before embarking on a career as a UNIX Systems Administrator. Over the years, Ray would be recognized for his wide breadth of technical knowledge and his extensive networking and systems experience.

Ray was a dedicated volunteer with the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix, where he served as a corner safety worker for decades, eventually taking on the role of Chief of Flagging and Communications.

Preceded in death by his mother Rosella, his step-mother Judith, and his brother-in-law Randy Jefferson, Ray is survived by his beloved daughter Stefania.

Ray is also survived by his father William Dembowski, and his siblings Scott Dembowski and Theresa “Ski” Dembowski, his step-sister Michelle Jefferson, his nieces Kaylie, Lindsey, Melanie, Lauren, Jenifer, and Chelsea, his nephew Kristopher, his great-nephews Robbie, Owen, Kolbie, Zakarie, and Luke, and his great-nieces Ella and Lyla.

Ray will be deeply missed by his former spouse, Kristine Dembowski, and a wide circle of friends and family who loved him. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at Berkeley Hills Lutheran Church, 517 Sangree Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15237 on Sunday, September 20, 2026 at 2:00pm.
