Dear Wegener Family, My husband, Dave, and I extend our deepest condolences on the loss of your Dad and Grandfather. We served with him for many years as Eucharistic Ministers at St. Sebastian. In addition to serving at the altar, he and I had the privilege to carry Holy Communion to those who couldn’t be at church. We, along with a few others, took turns visiting the same people each week. I was always touched by his genuine concern for the people we visited. He’d always ask about them or alert us to some concern he had about them. His gentle nature, I am certain, was a comfort to so many. He was a true gentleman and we valued his friendship. We would have liked to be able to express our sympathy to you all in person, but we will be attending my uncle’s funeral tomorrow. Please know that you all will be in our prayers. May your Dad now share the joy of heaven with your dear Mother and Grandmother.
