Ralph Lorriman

Ralph George Lorriman, 68, of Shaler Township, died Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2011, due to complications from open heart surgery. Although he suffered tremendously during his two-month stay in the CVICU at UPMC Passavant, Ralph put up a valiant fight to recover from his numerous surgeries. Ralph is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years, Christine A. Lorriman (Pilch); beloved cousins, William J. and Patricia Guentner; beloved cousins, Mark S. Krakosky, Jerome Krakosky, Paul M. Krakosky, David Krakosky and their families and their mother, Jennie Krakosky. Ralph served in the Air Force from 1961 to 1964 as a Catholic Chaplain’s Assistant with assignments in Texas, South Carolina and France. He graduated from Duquesne University in 1971 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in liberal arts. Ralph will be missed by his beloved dogs and cats, especially his black Labrador, Gracie, and former stray cat, Daphne, and her kittens. Special thanks to Dr. Rewat Cholapranee, Ralph’s physician for the past 18 years, for his caring and compassion and continuous intervention and monitoring of Ralph’s condition up until the last hours of his life. Thanks also to Dr. Cholapranee’s wife, Isara, and Dr. Cholapranee’s medical assistant, Diane. Ralph, a kind and gentle soul, will be greatly missed. Friends received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at T.B. DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, 806 Perry Highway, Ross Township. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Sebastian Church.
