Age 78, of Cornelius, NC died Thursday, December 18, 2008 at the Levine and Dickson Hospice House. He was born on January 27, 1930 in Millvale, PA to the late George and Estelle Lambert. Ralph founded the Northern Allegheny Senior Softball League. He served in the Korean War as a Marine. He is survived by his wife, Jeanne Lambert of the Olde Knox Commons, Huntersville, NC; sons, James C. Lambert of Harrisburg, PA, William R. Lambert and wife Terrie of Statesville, NC, David J. Lambert and Sue Dezarn of Cranberry Twp. PA, Robert P. Lambert and fiancee Tammy Mixter of Cornelius, NC; 15 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 6 brothers and 3 sisters. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 21, 2008 at the Devlin Funeral Home in Cranberry Twp., PA from 7:00 – 9:00 pm. A memorial mass will be held at 10 AM Monday, December 22, 2008 at St. Ferdinand Catholic Church. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Ralph Lambert Senior Softball League of Lake Norman, The Levine and Dickson Hospice House or American Lung Association.
