Philip Wayne Raub I

October 03, 2026

Service: Monday, October 12, 2026, 11 am; Devlin Funeral Home of Cranberry Township

Philip Wayne Raub I, 77, of Baden, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 3, 2026, surrounded by family, with his children by his side. Husband of the late Kathryn (Malek) Raub and son of the late Stanley and Verna (Fahringer) Raub.

In addition to his wife and parents, Phil was preceded in death by his niece, Erin Raub.
He is survived by his son, Philip Raub II (Diana); his daughter, Shannon Horn (Joseph); and his three grandchildren, Benjamin Raub, Kathryn “Katie” Raub, and Annaleigh “Annie” Horn.

Phil is also survived by his sister, Nancy Sheran; his brothers, James Raub (Linda) and Thomas Raub (Kathy); as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Born at the United States Naval Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Phil graduated from Hatboro-Horsham Senior High School in 1967. He went on to attend Penn State University, graduating in 1971 with a bachelor’s degree in business.

In 1972, Phil married Kathryn, and they shared 43 years of marriage before her death.

Phil had a long and varied career spanning business, manufacturing, finance, operations management, and consulting. After college, he began his career with the U.S. Department of Justice before moving into manufacturing, where he held positions in accounting, cost and budget management, plant operations, and general management. Later in his career, he worked as a consultant and business analyst, helping organizations improve their operations, financial systems, and business processes. His work took him across a variety of industries and included international travel for manufacturing projects.

Throughout his career, Phil continued his education and professional development, earning an associate degree in computer science, a Six Sigma Black Belt from Villanova University, and additional professional certifications.

Phil had a lifelong love of classic cars, especially his 1971 Corvette and 1957 Chevrolet, both of which brought him a great deal of pride and enjoyment over the years. He also enjoyed fishing, carpentry, model trains, and reading, particularly Stephen King novels.

His favorite hobby, however, came later in life, when he became an enthusiastic soccer fan thanks to his three favorite players: his grandchildren, Ben, Katie, and Annie.

More than anything, Phil will be remembered for his independence, his teasing sense of humor, and the unmistakable way he did things on his own terms.

Family and friends will be received at Devlin Funeral Home of Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania, on Monday, October 12, from 10-10:50 am, followed by a Blessing Service at 11 am officiated by Fr. Joe Freedy. Interment will take place at Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens in Franklin, Pennsylvania, at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Phil’s memory to Good Samaritan Hospice, in gratitude for the compassionate care provided to him and his family.
