Norman Roos, Sr.

Age 85, of Wexford, died Saturday, March 31, 2012. Born and raised in Bellevue, he was the son of the late Edmund Nicholas and Flora (Vogel) Roos. He is survived by his brother, Edmund, of Baton Rouge, LA and his sister, Mary (Roos) Pepmeyer, of Glenshaw, PA. He was the beloved husband of Marilou (Holdcroft) Roos; loving father of Norman Roos, Jr., Don Roos, David Roos, Ellen Swarts and Amy Flemming; grandfather of Mary Kate and Joey Roos, Eliza and Jonah Bucatinsky, Crysta and Brian Swarts, and Grayson and Gus Flemming. He was predeceased by his brothers, Paul, Alan, and Lewis Roos and sister, Anne (Roos) Wagner. Friends received Sunday 6-8 p.m. and Monday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at T.B. DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, 806 Perry Hwy., Ross Twp. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Alexis Church on Tuesday 10 a.m. After a long career with IBM, he retired back to Pittsburgh in 1992. Since then, he had been actively involved with the Knights of Columbus, St. Alexis Catholic Church and North Catholic High School Class of ’44. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St. Alexis Building Fund, 10090 Old Perry Hwy., Wexford, PA 15090 or the North Catholic High School Building Fund, 1400 Troy Hill Rd., Pgh, PA 15212.
