Natale David Chieffe, 81, of Ross, died peacefully on Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2008, after a lengthy illness. Dave was a World War II veteran, a member of Elks 339 and retired from Baierl Chevrolet and Jim McKain Ford. He had been a Eucharistic minister, lector and CCD teacher at St. Sebastian Church and especially enjoyed the winters he spent with Dolly in Florida, where he discovered his love for the game of golf and a competitive game of cards. He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Dolores (Flowers) Chieffe, and children, Jennifer (Dennis) Rush, of North Carolina; David (Carol) Chieffe; Lisa (Raymond) Streb; John (Jennifer) Chieffe, of Florida; Michael (Patti Jo) Chieffe, of Arizona, and Paul Chieffe. Dave’s pride and joy were grandchildren Adam (Meg), Eric and Matthew Rush; Annale and John Chieffe; David and Brian Streb; Michaelene Genter; Jessica and Michael Chieffe, and Sarah, Amanda and Christopher Chieffe. Brother of Charles, of Virginia, Richard and the late Thomas, Frank, Edward and John. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday at the T.B. DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, 806 Perry Highway, Ross. Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Sebastian Church. Special thanks to the many health and care givers along the way. The family suggests memorials to St. Sebastian Church or a charity of choice.
