Nancy Stephens of Franklin Park passed away at the age of 83, after battling various health problems. She was raised in McKees Rocks where she spent many days ice skating at her father’s rink. She married Stan Stephens in 1955 and had five children. She worked at Suburban General Hospital as a registered nurse where she worked “everywhere but the boiler room.” She retired in 1994 as a cardiac rehab nurse. She enjoyed golfing, quilting, knitting, and spending time with family and friends. Nancy was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, William “Stan” Stephens. She is survived by her children, Bill (Sandy), Susie (Mike), Wendy (Tim), Tim, and Mary Kay (George). She had 12 grand children and 11 great-grand children. She is also survived by her siblings, Lois Linnan, Bob Singer (Debbie), and Edward Singer (Steven) and many nieces and nephews.
Friends and family will be received Sunday May 6th from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, INC. 806 Perry Highway, North Hills. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, May 7th at 10 am at Saint John Neumann Church, 2230 Rochester Road PGH PA 15237. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
