With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Nancy Ann Brindle on March 25, 2025, at the age of 69. Born on February 8, 1956, in Pittsburgh, PA, she was the beloved daughter of Sara Cecilia Green and the late John Patrick Lyons.
Nancy earned her Bachelor’s degree and dedicated her life to nursing, serving mothers and children with unmatched compassion and professionalism. Her warm spirit and unwavering commitment to care made her a cherished presence in both her workplace and family.
Nancy is survived by her devoted husband, Thomas R. Brindle, whom she married on July 7, 2001. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Jamie (Paul) Schiff, Michael, and Lauren (John) Rzeznik; stepdaughters Kimberly Springer and Marcy (Rudy) Shelly; and grandchildren Samantha, James; step grandchildren Billy, Emily, and Nolan. She is also survived by her siblings, Msgr. James Lyons and John “Jack” Lyons, as well as her sisters-in-law Margie Pender, Helen Cox, and brother-in-law Gary Brindle. Nancy’s love and joy will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Family and friends are welcome to pay their respects on Friday from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Devlin Funeral Home, 806 Perry Hwy., North Hills. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 11:30 am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish, St. Teresa of Avila Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Catholic Charities, Little Sisters of the Poor, or Animal Friends in Nancy’s honor.

I heard of Nancy’s passing at Mass today. I was blessed to work with her at West Penn for years. Sending deepest sympathies to her family whom she cherished.

I worked with Nancy in the OB dept at NHPH. We developed a friend relationship out of the hospital. She was so much fun to be around.
Have not had much contact with her since we moved to Maryland. But I have fond memories of good times . My sympathies to family.💜💜
Your family is in my thoughts and prayers. I will give your Grandma all the extra loving. I am her nurse where she resides. Nancy was a force to be reckoned with. She will be missed terribly.
