Mrs. Nadine Markun, 89, died at home of complications from breast cancer Friday, September 5. Visitation will be held at Devlin Funeral Home, Tuesday, September 10 from 9:00-11:00am. Service will be at 11:00am with graveside service to follow at Pinewoods.
Mrs. Markun was born in Des Moines, Iowa on November 21, 1929. She graduated from North High School in 1948. She married John Markun on November 1, 1957. After living in Des Moines for a short time, they lived in Omaha, Nebraska, Media, Pennsylvania and finally settled and built their dream home in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania. Nadine was an extremely hard worker who was employed full time with Hussy Copper into her early 80s. She had an undying love of nature and working on projects around the house. Her favorite pastimes included activities such as gardening, shopping for the grandkids, painting and taking care of her pets. Nadine was also a lifelong servant of the Lord her Saviour.
Survivors include her son Michael, his wife Alisha and two grandchildren Alexis and Noah. She is also survived by two siblings, Donald Dingeman of West Des Moines, Iowa, and Marilyn (Bob) Cook of Pleasantville, Iowa along withmultiple nieces and nephews.
Nadine was preceded in death by her husband John in 2008, her parents, John and Hazel Dingeman, brother, John Dingeman, sisters Naomi Dingeman, Katherine Eivens, Marie Wilbois, Darlene Eikenberry, and Betty Barr.
The family is extremely thankful for the care given to her by Allegheny Health Network Hospice and desires memorials to be made to them on Nadine’s behalf.

Nadine kept us all in line at Hussey, and will be missed dearly. My sympathies to the family. She was one in a million!
