Myrna Kay Ryden (Corn) of Pittsburgh, passed away on June 6, 2026.

Beloved wife of George Ryden for 18 years. Daughter of the late Sam and Ethel Corn. Cherished stepmother of Georgie Ryden, Roxanne Ryden  (Jake). Proud grandmother of Lucas and Julian. Loving aunt of Max Corn, Rachel Murray (Mike), and Zachary Corn (Mary). Sister of Alan Corn (Cathy). Also survived by many loving friends and relatives.

Myrna spent many years on the West Coast, where she enjoyed a successful career working for an advertising agency. Ultimately, she came back to Pittsburgh to be closer to her family, and that’s when she met George.

Myrna loved spending time with her family, reading, and traveling—especially with George by her side. Together, they explored the world, visiting Israel, Australia, England, Wales, Hawaii, Ireland, Scotland, and New Zealand. Their adventures also took them across the United States, including memorable trips to Yellowstone National Park, Florida, Lancaster, and Mackinac Island; destinations that held a special place in her heart.

If you spent more than a few minutes with Myrna, chances are you heard about her family. She was endlessly proud of her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and grandchildren, and she loved sharing their stories with anyone who would listen. Their achievements, milestones, and everyday moments brought her tremendous joy. More than anything, Myrna cherished being “Aunt Myrna” and Grandma, roles she embraced with love, pride, and unwavering devotion.

An avid Pittsburgh sports fan, her passion for the city’s teams only grew stronger after she met George.
