Age 90 of McCandless Twp. on Monday April 29, 2013, husband of the late Elizabeth M. (Rusczynski) Kania. Loving father of Michael D. Kania (Diana), Janet Schneider (Jack Schroeffel), and Mark A. Kania (Robin). Brother of Frances Peresie and Lonnie Latini. Grandfather of Michael, Robert, Daniel, William, Matthew and Leann. Great grandfather of Kaci, Kristi, Tara, Todd, Morgan, McKenna, Benjamin and Andrew. Family and friends received Wednesday 2-4, 7-9 PM at the Devlin Funeral Home of Cranberry, 2678 Rochester Rd. 724-772-8800, Mass of Christian Burial in SS. John and Paul Church, Sewickley, Thursday at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Good Samaritan Hospice.
To a true gentleman. Who never blinked regarding the music we were always playing way too loud. Who was always there to drive us home after a Friday night session at the North Park skating rink. Who helped us build a rink in the back yard out of 2x4s and a giant sheet of plastic. The thought of him makes me smile. I will hoist a warm Iron City Beer to his memory.
