We wanted to extend sympathy to Mike’s family. We had great respect for Mike as an athlete and overall person. Our son Andrew was the quarterback at Grove City College the last four years and he met Mike on several occasions … many times on his back looking up. Mike was as outstanding of a defensive player as we have ever seen. All of you have been in our thoughts and prayers.

    Sincerely,
Pastor Joe, Marcy, Andrew and the DiDonato Family

    Dear Cousin Ruth Ann:

I am deeply sorry for your loss. The last time we met was at the dinner at the Butler Airport restaurant for my parents. I vividly remember how you glowed with pride when talking about Michael. After reading accounts of him in various articles, it’s clear he was an absolutely superb human being. I know it’s not much solace, but the deeper the love, the deeper the pain. This is the down side of love.

My guess is he was strong because you are strong. I pray it serves you well now.

    Godspeed, Ray.
