Mary Kathleen (Fitzgerald) Graff, 88, of Cranberry, died Monday, Oct. 17, 2011, in Good Samaritan Hospice, Wexford. Mary, known by her family and friends as Kate, was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh R. Graff; and her brothers, Richard and John Oberhausen. Kate is survived by her sister, Joann Noe (Dan), of Toledo, Ohio; her five children, Judith Murphy (Paul), of Chocowinity, N.C., Contance Recker (Wilfred), of San Juan Capistrano, Calif., Hugh Graff Jr. (Sue), of Hagerstown, Md., John Graff (Kathy), of Wexford, and Richard Graff (Lori), of Troy, Ohio; 14 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. Kate was a nurse for 15 years and an opera singer in the Civic Light Opera in Toldeo, Ohio. An avid gardener, Kate also enjoyed crossword puzzles and reading. She will be remembered for her lively stories and will be very much missed by her family and friends. A memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Ferdinand Parish in Cranberry. The rite of Christian burial will be at noon Saturday in Mantua, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, donations suggested to Good Samaritan Hospice in Wexford.
