Service: Mass of Christian Burial in St. Aidan Parish, St. Alexis Church, Wednesday, 10:00 a.m.


Mary “Elaine” Santora 80, of McCandless Twp, passed away peacefully, on Thursday, September 8th, 2022.

She was born to her loving parents, Ernest and Clara Gengerella on June 5, 1942. She graduated high school from Mt. Gallitzin Academy in Baden, PA and attended Point Park College in Pittsburgh, PA. After college, she worked as a medical secretary at St. John’s hospital in Pittsburgh where she met her husband of 58 years, Dr. Frank J. Santora, who is recently deceased. Together they had four daughters, Victoria (John) Entwistle, Gayle Santora, Shelley (Ken) Santora Jones and Jamie (Frank) Capaci.

Elaine loved spending time with her daughters and grandchildren Emily and Frank Entwistle, Clara and James Jones, and Connor and Kaitlyn Capaci. For many years she worked at her husband’s medical office at Divine Providence Hospital until their retirement. She also enjoyed volunteering at the St. Aiden Parish office, playing piano and watching Steelers football.

Elaine is also survived by many loving relatives and friends who will miss her smile, strength and determination.

Friends will be received on Tuesday, September 13th from 3-7 PM at DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, 806 Perry Hwy., Ross Twp. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Aidan Parish, 10090 Old Perry Hwy., Wexford, PA 15090 on Wednesday, September 14th at 10AM. Entombment will follow in Allegheny County Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be directed to Concordia of Cranberry or Bridges Hospice.
