MEIGHAN MARY A. Age 89, of Harlansburg, and formerly of Cranberry Twp., joined the Lord on December 25, 2013. Born on April 11, 1924, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth Forrest. She is survived by her four daughters, Mary Ann Engles (Lee), Janice L. Koll, Kathy Jones, and Linda Van Fossen (Richard); and grandchildren, Justin and Trenton Jones, Taylor Van Fossen, and Marissa Koll. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Felix Beygang; brother, Joseph Forrest; and sister, Elizabeth “Betty” Deverts. She is also survived by her sisters, Dorothy Chapman and Ellen Serra; and many nieces and nephews. After graduating from Annunciation High School, Mary worked in accounting at the Limbaugh Company. Mary grew up loving to dance; she was always ready to go out and hit the boards. Mary loved food and cooking. She enjoyed reading, singing, crafts, and animals. She was always up for going out to eat and trying new recipes at home. You never knew what to expect for dinner; there was always an element of surprise. She was a loving and caring mother who cherished her children and grandchildren. Mary was a wonderful mother who raised her four daughters by herself after her husband, Felix, passed away in 1962. Mary was always planning fun activities for her children and the nieces and nephews. She was the life of the party. Mary remarried and traveled around the country, visiting all the places she dreamed about, and always getting to eat at many good restaurants. She cruised the high seas several times going to Puerto Rico, San Juan, St. Thomas, and St. John. Mary was a member of St. Ferdinand Church and the Cranberry Senior Citizen Club. Friends received Sunday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME OF CRANBERRY, 2768 Rochester Rd., 724-772-8800. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Ferdinand Church Monday 10 a.m. Donations in Mary’s memory may be made to Helping Paws, Inc., P.O. Box 1598 Cranberry Twp., PA 16066.
