Mary A. (Macak) White – Age 91, of Ross Township, with a rosary in her hand and family by her side, peacefully passed away October 28, 2018. Mary went to join her beloved husband, John, in a gym or field somewhere in heaven. Born in Pittsburgh June 27, 1927, daughter of the late Frank and Anna Macak. Mary’s life was full of helping others, whether sewing and making thousands of blankets over many years for children in the Project Linus program, delivering dinners for Meals on Wheels or working with her husband for the St. Sebastian Athletic Association. Her joy in life simply was her family and she burst with pride over the decades of watching her kids’ sporting events. She then opened her heart to her dear grandchildren, who still cherish those unforgettable sleepovers at her home or simply going to lunch with Grandma. From wife, to Mom, to Grandma, special in every way. Preceded in death by brother Frank Macak. Sister to Franny Tyksinski, Alma Kukuruda and Dorothy Lucious. Survived by her six children: Tim (Marie) of Manteo, NC; Kathy Berlingeri of Apalachin, NY; Dick (Janet) of Pine; Jack (Debbie) of Apollo; Patty Rozick (Steve) of McCandless; Mike (Daria) of Ross. Also her beloved 15 grandchildren David, Ryan, Justin, Jonathan, Julie, R.J., Caroline, Jason, Ron, Ann, Marina, Stefen, Michael, Sean, Danny; also eight great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Saturday 6-8 p.m., Sunday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Devlin Funeral Home 806 Perry Highway Pittsburgh. Funeral mass Monday 10 a.m. at St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church in Ross Township. Interment will follow at Saint Marys Cemetery Mt. Troy Rd. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations made to Project Linus Pittsburgh Chapter, care of Lois Miskito, 253 Ranger Dr., Pittsburgh, 15236.
