Marvin F. Bendzick, 90, of Ross, died Thursday, July 29, 2010. Husband of the late Mary E. “Bette” (Miller) Bendzick, of Sewickley. Marvin and Bette were married at St. Michael’s Parish, Flint, Mich., in 1943. Father of John H. (Charlene) Bendzick, of Dearborn, Mich., William G. Bendzick, of Dover, N.J., Diane M. (Hal) Huebener, of Martinsville, Va., Martha L. (Lawrence) Diamond, of New Castle, and Julie M. (Phillip) Bendzick-Sin, of Cosa Mesa, Newport Beach, Calif. Marvin was one of 12 children, six daughters and six sons. He was the brother of Dorothy Landsman, of LeSeuer, Minn., and Noreen Gehlen, of Glencoe, Minn.; and brother-in-law of Harry J. Miller, of Flint, Mich. Marvin is also survived by 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Marvin was a 1938 graduate of LeSeuer High School and received a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering at the University of Minnesota in 1942. He worked in manufacturing injection molding and plastics his entire life. Marvin was a longtime parishioner of St. Sebastian Parish, where he participated in the choir for more than 40 years. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at T.B. DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, 806 Perry Highway, North Hills. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Sebastian Church. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Immaculate Heart of Mary Sisters and St. Sebastian Parish.
