Mark Matthew Kepins
Age 52, of Seven Fields, passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2022 following a brief illness. Born November 13, 1969, son of Anna (Drzal), and the late James D. Kepins. Beloved husband of Laurie (Frederick) Kepins, whom he married on April 29, 1995; loving father of Ryan Kepins; brother of James (Cindy), and John (Barbara) Kepins; uncle of Christy (Chris), Julie (AJ), Scott (Kaylee), Bethany (Joe), and Holly (Jared). Mark is also survived by his mother and father in law, Walt, and Carol Frederick, brother-in-law, Kevin (Tamy), and their child Kira; great-nieces, and great-nephews, and many great friends, who will all miss him dearly.

Mark was a thoughtful, kind, compassionate, loving person. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed travel and vacationing to the beach. He was an avid golfer playing as often as he could with his family and friends. He also enjoyed skiing at Seven Springs, Deep Creek and Holiday Valley. Whenever he could he would play video games and watch movies with his buddy Ryan. Mark, Laurie and Ryan had season tickets to the Penguins and didn’t miss a game. He loved taking long walks with Yoshi and especially loved watching Laurie clean his paws.

Family and friends are welcome on Thursday from 3-7 pm at Devlin Funeral Home of Cranberry, 2678 Rochester Road, Cranberry Twp. The family respectfully requests you wear Pittsburgh Penguin attire to the viewing in memory of Mark’s love of the game of hockey. A Blessing Service of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 11 am at St. Kilian Church, Cranberry Twp., with Rev. Charles Bober officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Pine Twp.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in Mark’s name to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

My deepest sympathy to Laurie, Ryan and all who knew and loved Mark. I had the pleasure of working with and supervising this devoted young man at Crawford & Co. He was never happy until he had all of the answers to make the right decisions in his job. He had “a fun side too” that made spending time with him so enjoyable. May he Rest in Peace.

To say we’re shocked is a vast understatement. Mark was the most positive, happy go lucky guy I’ve ever met. His love and devotion for his family was unsurpassed. My life will never be the same without my buddy M2K. Gone way too soon.

Shocked to hear of Marks’s passing. Played many rounds with him in the Ballcrushers league. I’m so sorry for your loss.

Such sad news, Mark was a beloved colleague and trusted professional. He was truly appreciated by his Crawford colleagues and as we all work the daily grind day after day, I suppose we probably do not tell one another how important they truly are until after it’s too late. That is something I will work on in Marks honor.
My heart goes out to Marks family, especially Laurie and Ryan.
Mark will be missed by all who knew him for sure; He is gone way too soon. I like to think that as long as we talk about him and bring him up in conversation, he will never truly be gone from our hearts. – Larry
