Margaret K. “Marge” Glavin, 87, of Mars, PA, died peacefully at her residence of Sherwood Oaks in Cranberry Township on February 3, 2026. Daughter of the late Henry W. and Margaret C. Kinzler, she was born April 4, 1938, in Pittsburgh. As a youth, Marge loved spending summers at her family cottage in Van Buren Point, NY. She later graduated from St. Benedict’s Academy in the shadows of her Ross Township family home and used the extensive secretarial skills she acquired there by working in Pittsburgh as a secretary at Mellon Bank. After staying at home to raise her three children, Marge reentered the workforce by assisting at her father’s accounting firm as the Payroll Coordinator.

Marge’s Catholic fidelity was always at the center of her life and provided her family with a faith-filled perspective of the world. She was a founding member of St. Alexis Parish where she was active in the Women’s Guild. Later in life she was a full participant at St. Kilian’s Catholic Church in Mars, PA, as part of the Ladies of Charity, the funeral ministry, and the Eucharistic minister ministry where she also visited and offered communion to the parish shut-ins. Marge especially cherished her role as a Eucharistic minister by calling on the sick and helping with communion services at the St. John’s and Cranberry Passavant nursing homes.

Marge and her late steamfitter husband, Dale, were happily married for 61 dedicated years. With faith and family always coming first, during those years together they managed to travel with friends and family by enjoying cruises and exploring Europe. In her later years she and Dale spent time in Florida during the winter months where the two snowbirds delighted in playing golf. Marge was also active in her Florida church as a Eucharistic minister and volunteering with the parish’s food bank.

Marge loved being around people and was an engaging conversationalist. Her biggest love, by far, was being with her children and grandchildren. She was a vital and adoring part of their daily lives, always providing them abundant supplies of encouragement and supporting them in any way possible. Marge was a devoted and loving mother/grandmother and there will be an enormous void without her for the children and grandchildren. That big, beautiful smile will never be forgotten and always cherished.

Marge was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Dale, her granddaughter Stephanie Glavin, along with her siblings and their spouses, Henry (Sylvia) Kinzler, Jack (Bernadette) Kinzler, Kenny (Mary) Kinzler, and Mary Ann (Tom) Joll.

Marge is survived by her brother, Gerald Kinzler (the late Beth Kinzler) She was the loving mother of Dale (Kimberley) Glavin, Kathy (Jim) Ross, and Peggy (Mark) Capra; devoted grandmother of Andrew (Laura) Glavin, Patricia (Dylan) Lewis, Dale Glavin III, Michael (Jennifer) Ross, Bryan Ross (Kelly Eisel), Sean (Taylor) Ross, Jessica (Lindsay) Cook and Nicholas Capra; great grandmother, Austin, Luke and Tucker Glavin, Scottie Jo Lewis, Aubree and Noah Ross, and Declan Eisel. She is also survived by 36 nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements are coordinated by Devlin Funeral Home of Cranberry, 2678 Rochester Road, Cranberry Township, PA. Visitation will take place Monday, from 3-7 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Kilian Church, 7076 Franklin Road, Cranberry Township, PA, on Tuesday at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Holy Savior Cemetery, Gibsonia. All are welcome to attend and join in the celebration of Marge’s life.

The family extends their sincere appreciation to the staff of Sherwood Oaks (1st floor @ Oak Grove) and Bridges Hospice for the amazing love and care they extended to Marge while she was a resident.
