Service: Celebration of Life Saturday, June 27th 2026 Remos Catering & Event Center
Surrounded by love, Marcia died peacefully at the age of 87 on Wednesday, April 15, 2026. She was a loving mother to Lisa (Rich) Kelly and Holly (Lance) Savage; wife of the late James E. Murray, III; sister of the late Beverly (William) Geck; and is survived by her brother, Donald (Mary) Barratt.
Marcia was a proud grandmother to five grandchildren—Jefferson Tyler Savage (Kristen), Hannah Elyse Savage, Alison Elisa Kelly, Abigail Christine Kelly, and James Patrick Kelly—and a cherished great‑grandmother to Nathan and Preston Savage. Debbie (Dave), Billy (Mary), Shelley (Carl) and Tammy (Jon) adored their “Auntie Marc,” and she returned that love completely. That love carried over to her great nieces and nephews.
Marcia gave generously of herself to her family and to others, always helping whenever she could. Her kindness and strength will be remembered by all who knew her.
A celebration of life will be hosted by her daughters at a future date. If you are so inclined, memorial contributions may be made to Bridges Hospice or United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania.
Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 27th, Noon – 3pm, Remo’s Catering & Event Center 2151 Babcock Blvd Pittsburgh, PA 15209

We had the privilege of sharing a duplex at Myrtle Beach Air Force Base with Marcia and Jim. I believe Lisa was just a baby. I remember many years of sharing meals, my oldest sister babysitting, Marcia watching all 4 of us…mainly sharing lots of love. We remember Holly being born, my first time with a newborn! We kept in touch and visited each other after MBAFB. I know there is a great reunion in Heaven! She loved her family, but loved the Lord first. Praying for all of you.
So many memories of Marcia sharing her life, talent, faith and grace with me and my family. She wove her life and all things she loved through the lives of so many of us who worked with her and cared about her. I will carry her and our times together in my heart always.
I am so sorry to hear of Marcia’s passing. She was so special to me. I have known her since I styled her hair at the Evelyn Dickerson’s Salon in Kent OH way back in the sixties! She was working at KSU at the time!
May God be with your family during this most difficult time.
I am so deeply saddened to hear of your mother’s passing. I have so many fond memories of your mother, such a beautiful woman. My condolences.
