Louise Wurstlein Porter Nene
Age 92, of West View, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 5, 2020 with her family by her bedside. Born Dec. 13, 1927, daughter of the late Jacob, and Clara (Raible) Wurstlein. Loving mother of Edward (Kate) Porter, Kathleen (Gary) Carnicella, Thomas (Susan) Porter, Mary Lou Mifflin, and James (Wendy) Porter; sister of the late Clara Jelinek; dear grandma of 13, and great-grandma of 12.
Louise’s life consisted of many years of service as a nurse BSN at Mercy and Passavant hospitals; and her family history includes 4 generations of membership in the Teutonia Mannerchor where her father served as Stewart for more than 40 years.
Family and friends are welcome Wednesday from 4-8 pm at Devlin Funeral Home of Cranberry, 2678 Rochester Road, Cranberry Twp. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday at 10 am at St. Ferdinand Church. Entombment will follow at North Side Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to The Alzheimer’s Association.

I went to SBA with Clara, and taught her children.
I got to know Louise in later years.

Kathleen, I am sorry to hear about the passing of your mother. My mother passed away when she was in her 40’s and my first child was only 1. Your mother lived a long and service filled life and was able to be there for you and your family. You were very blessed. Jesus told his disciplines that he was going to prepare a place for them and that they would soon join him in this beautiful place.
