Lois Mary Stewart (Foust),88, of Pittsburgh, PA (McCandless), passed away peacefully
on August 16, 2026. Born on September 13, 1937, in Pittsburgh, PA, Lois was the beloved daughter of Charles and Frances Foust. Throughout her life, Lois was known for her love of animals, gardening green thumbs, bargain hunting expertise, sharp wit, infectious laugh, and having an enthusiastic opinion on every possible topic. Always a fiercely loyal devoted parent, daughter, sibling, and friend, she leaves behind an ardent following of people she positively inspired and will be forever loved and missed. Lois is survived by her children Lynn Stewart (daughter) of Virginia, Keith Stewart (son), and Hazel and Eleanor Stewart (granddaughters) of Pennsylvania. She was preceded in death by Charles Foust (brother). A private celebration of life will be held.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Animal Friends Pittsburgh in Lois’ memory.
My dear Lois, you are missed already! Always full of life and goodness. The love and admiration for your two kids was always evident. Ladies night’s out will never be the same without you. I love you and miss you already, but I will see you again, I know in my heart and spirit I will. In Jesus’ Name!
