Leonard E. Walters, 91, of Ross, passed away at his home on Saturday, March 17, 2012. He was the beloved husband of the late Elizabeth Walters; loving father of Donna M. Bauer, Joyce Slean (Michael) and the late Leonard T. Walters; grandfather of Patricia Dax (Ron), Philip E. Bauer (Cristi), Jessica S. and Ryan P. Slean; and brother of Gloria Salley. Also survived by loving nieces, nephews and other relatives. Leonard served his country during World War II on the USS Indiana in the South Pacific. Prior to joining the Navy, Leonard also served his country in the Civilian Conservation Corps. Friends received from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at T.B. DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, 806 Perry Highway, Ross, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, www.alz.org.
