Leon H. Hancock, 72, of Pittsburgh, PA, transitioned peacefully on Thursday, April 25, 2024. Leon was born in Pittsburgh on September 13, 1951 and was the son of the late Leon and Dorothy Hancock. After high school, Leon studied heating, ventilation, and air conditioning and retired from a packaging corporation in which he worked throughout his entire career.

Leon loved spending his free time at the local swimming pool and reading fiction novels. He also loved watching Western movies and shows. Leon loved buying hats of all sports teams and matching the colors of his clothes to his hats. Above all, he loved spending time with his family and especially his daughter Maria Hancock.

Leon is predeceased by his parents, Leon and Dorothy Hancock, sister Claire Hancock Schwartz, and niece JoElla Schrader.

Leon is survived by his daughter Maria Hancock, sister Linda Hancock Amburgy, brother-in-law Clarence Schwartz, niece Michelle Workman, and nephews Richard, Steven, and Michael Schwartz.

Friends will be received Wednesday May 1st from 9 AM until Blessing Service at 11 AM at Devlin Funeral Home, 806 Perry Hwy.
