It is with heartfelt remembrance that we celebrate the life of Krystyna “Kris” Kalinowski, who passed away peacefully on April 21, 2025, at the age of 69. Krystyna, daughter of the late Jan T. and Maria (Szpurka), warmly touched the lives of everyone she encountered with her big heart and selfless nature. She leaves behind her beloved sister, Barbara Kalinowski, and the memories of her late brother, Ted.
Krystyna was a proud graduate of North Hills High School, class of 1975, She had a zest for life that inspired those around her, and she relished in traveling to her favorite destinations, particularly Las Vegas, Atlantic City, and Niagara Falls, where she found joy in gambling and spending time with loved ones. Kris enjoyed volunteering at the St. Teresa of Avila Festival, selling 50/50 raffle tickets. Her passions extended to playing cards, completing jigsaw puzzles, and her endearing fondness for ladybugs. Next time you see a ladybug, take a moment to think of Krystyna and the light she brought to our lives.
Visitation will take place on Friday, April 25, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Devlin Funeral Home, 806 Perry Hwy., North Hills. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish, St. Teresa of Avila Church.
